This past week in the Independent Study and Mentorship program the students took part in the 2018 Frisco ISD Mentor Showcase. This event took place on January 17th, 2018 at The Ford Center at The Star from 6:30-8:30. During the Showcase, ISM students from all over the district showcased their work over their topic that they have been researching this whole year. This event was exciting and stressful, as I was displaying my work over Elementary Bilingual Education to hundreds of people.

On Wednesday, I rushed over to The Star after school to set up my board. Shortly after, we got bombarded with masses of people coming to learn about our work. Although this was very stressful, it was a great experience. Getting to show people from all around the district all my hard work was so much fun. Telling people about my work and all that I have done this year made me realise just how much I have done this year in this program. The showcase was an experience I will never forget. It prepared me for my future and gave me a memory that will last a lifetime.

Moving forward, I am approaching the second semester with passion and determination. My love for bilingual education grows every day and I can not wait to continue learning about it for the rest of this school year. I will work hard and complete everything with one hundred and ten percent effort so I can complete this year with a solid foundation for my future.
