Un Respiro (A Breather)

This past week in Independent Study and Mentorship, I was more relaxed and less stressed than I have been in the previous weeks. Although the only thing on the agenda was to work on the Final Product, it was a great week for me to refresh and to organize my thoughts. This week was a great breather from the stress and work that has taken over my previous weeks.
Throughout the week, I updated both my online portfolio and binder portfolio, had a conference with Mr. Speice, and continued to work on my Final Product. My conference went very well and I left the meeting with a new burst of determination and excitement going into the rest of the year. I will use this drive to make my Final Product the best it can be. The end of the week marked one month before I hand out the first week of my handout to the students of Christie Elementary. This is exciting but also puts pressure on me to make sure I stay on track with my calendar and complete every part to the best of my ability.
Moving forward, I am excited to continue working on my Final Product. As I continue adding curriculum and creating activities, I will remember the real reason I want to become a teacher. I want to leave an impact in the lives of students just as mine has been changed by teachers in my past. If my Final Product is successful, I will complete that goal as an Independent Study and Mentorship student.
