This past week came with many firsts, including my research presentation. Although this week was stressful, it prepared me for my future and taught me many lessons that will help me grow in the future. The highlight of the week was presenting my research presentation over everything I have learned this year about bilingual education.

Leading up to Tuesday, I spent a lot of my time preparing and making my presentation. I spent hour upon hours on designing the slides, making flashcards, and rehearsing what I was actually going to say. Although this has been one of the most stressful presentations I have done this year, it has taught me many lessons. After presenting, I received many helpful tips and pieces of advice from my classmate. During the presentation, I had technical difficulties with the clicker. Unfortunately, this freaked me out which lead to me skipping part of my information. Although this is disappointing, it was not the end of the world. I am confident that although I faced these obstacles, my presentation still went well and I did a great job at teaching my class all about bilingual education. In my opinion my presentation was pleasing and kept the audience entertained and interested in elementary bilingual education.

In whole, this week was very helpful. I learned about how to improve my speaking skills, prepare in an effective way, and how to create a successful presentation. The feedback my classmates gave me after my presentation have prepared me for future presentations. This week left me with lessons that I will carry on for the rest of my life.
