WIth Mentor Showcase approaching, the Independent Study and Mentorship class and I have concluded the finishing touches on our preparations for the night. With less than one week left, my classmates and I have worked hard and long to make sure that we have everything we need for this important night. This week in ISM, I finished my board for Mentor Showcase, made huge progress on my original work, and published my digital portfolio for the world to see.
This week I have made a turning point in the Independent Study and Mentorship program. This week I realized just how much I have completed in only the first semester of this year. I will forever be thankful for this class and all that it has done for me. My original work is something that I will remember for the rest of my life. As I put the final touches on the handout and all the activities I made to go along with it, it made me more excited to get to the final product. The fact that what I am making is going to help others and impact the lives of bilingual parents and students is unbelievable. The original work I created turned out better than expected and I am so ready for it to turn into the final product. Another accomplishment I made is publishing my digital portfolio for the world to see. Personally, I am gifted in the computer/technology area. Therefore, I have put long hours into this website. Finally completing something that I worked so hard for was such a satisfying feeling. I am so excited for people to go onto my website and learn about what I have done and learned about this year about bilingual education.
Moving onto next week, I am going to go into it with determination and hardwork. Although this week will be stressful and full of many obligations, I am going to work hard to complete everything with one hundred and ten percent. Frisco ISD Mentor Showcase here I come!
